A pilot project to help adults with learning difficulties live independently in the community has got off to a successful start. The scheme is aimed specifically at adults who would like the opportunity of a home of their own, having been cared for by their parents all their lives. The idea is also welcomed by the parents concerned who recognise that provision needs to be made for the future when they may no longer be able to look after their son or daughter. |
Saffron Housing Trust has allocated £25,000 to be spent on improvements to the local environment. The money is on offer to local tenant groups who can bring forward suggested projects which will improve their community. |
