From the first of July, John Whitelock joined the Executive Team as Director of New Business taking on a new role combining the housing development side of Saffron Housing Trust with bringing in new services and opportunities. Some of our customers will know John as he has been with Saffron, initially with the supported housing team, since it started six years ago. He is looking forward to his new role and believes that Saffron is well placed to help develop new services for tenants and the wider community. Saffron is also delighted to welcome new Board members, South Norfolk Councillors Eloise Ellis and John Overton.

Jubilee Place


Jubilee Place sheltered housing consists of 33 bungalows distributed on Rattle Row, Pople Street, Rothbury Road, Elkins Road, The Chestnuts and Queensway in Wymondham.

The communal building consists of:
- A fully equipped kitchen with adjustable worktop housing the hob and sink
- Assisted toilet with hoist
- Small one-to-one area with bookshelves
- Seating area for activities
- Scheme manager's office

A Day Service is held at Jubilee Place on Tuesdays for people with a physical disability aged between 18and 64 who are assessed as needing a focused day service. The focus of the service is to provide a varied and flexible range of sessions that allow people to develop to a point where they are able to move on to community based resources.

Various functions are held on other days of the week for the residents including:
- Coffee mornings
- Monthly church services
- Quiz afternoons
- Guest speakers
