26 Jul 2010 | From the first of July, John Whitelock joined the Executive Team as Director of New Business taking on a new role combining the housing development side of Saffron Housing Trust with bringing in new services and opportunities. Some of our customers will know John as he has been with Saffron, initially with the supported housing team, since it started six years ago. He is looking forward to his new role and believes that Saffron is well placed to help develop new services for tenants and the wider community. Repair Process, Categories And StandardsService Standards We will deal with your repair request quickly, politely and accurately, based on the information given: - We will ensure that you and your home are treated with care and respect at all times. - We will ensure that the work is done on time, to a high standard and to your satisfaction. - Our contractors will wear uniforms and carry identification cards. - After repair, we will inspect certain jobs to ensure we are getting value for money.
Right to Repair You have the right to have repairs which are our responsibility carried out in the timescales shown on the introduction page. If the repair has not been completed within the set time, you can request us to appoint another contractor to complete the repair at no cost to you. If the second contractor does not complete the repair on time you will be entitled to compensation.
Qualifying repairs include: - Burst pipes, no hot water or heating - Unsafe power or lighting sockets or electrical fittings - Blocked flue to open fire or boiler - Leaking roof - Toilets which do not flush - Blocked sink, bath, basin, WC or drains - Leaking from a water or heating pipe, tank or cistern - Loose or broken banisters or handrails - Insecure Property, flooring or stairs.
