The Asset Management Section is a Saffron Housing Trust 'in house' team with a varied and flexible remit for all aspects of property.
Within our team are a wide range of skilled personnel including surveyors, an architect, architectural technicians, electrical and mechanical engineers, energy advisors, and maintenance surveyors. We also have ready access to other skills, some of which are outsourced, and these include quantity surveying, structural engineering, civil engineering, planning supervision and landscape specialists.
Consequently we are able to offer a comprehensive service for a wide range of projects for both public and private sector.
With a full compliment of skills, we can offer a design service for all new build and refurbishment work from feasibility study, sketch design, final design for all statutory applications including planning and building regulation approval, contract procurement and supervision to project completion. Where appropriate we can also provide project management, energy assessments and advice and a full design service.
This team also has the expertise to carry out various types of survey work including stock condition surveys, measured and level surveys and structural and repair surveys.
There is a specialist services team responsible for all mechanical and electrical design and installation, including new and upgraded heating systems, electrical rewires, lighting systems, security systems, services maintenance contracts and insulation improvements.
We utilise new technology wherever possible using CAD (Autocad) for all drawing work and 'Keystone' a comprehensive asset management software package to record stock condition which informs future works programmes for maintaining and improving the 'partnerships' 4200 or so dwellings. This is a service that can be offered to external clients who may be lacking such expertise.
